Past Contributing Writer l Greenwood, IN
Having struggled with OCD when he was a teen, Stephen found inspiration in a time of desperation. When his world turned upside down it was then when he realized that “understanding why we do things gives us a tremendous advantage for change.” Stephen grew up Greenwood, IN. When he was younger he wanted to be a friar, inspired by Robin Hood. One thing that he would like to see more of in the world is people engaging in life and finding fulfillment by the things they do on a daily basis. He attends Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, not too far from home, where he studies psychology. When he’s not playing guitar or traveling to his favorite corner of the world in Sagres, Portugal, you can find him roaming outdoors while filming his next YouTube video or sharing his thoughts on his website barefootphilosophy.com. What inspires Stephen most is simple: Possibility.
“Everybody has his or her own view on the existence and humanity. Some are pessimistic and others possibly too idealistic. But at the end of the day, it’s a beautiful thing. The very fact that we exist and have a life to experience should be enough to make people infinitely grateful and excited for every single moment and be open to sharing themselves with the people around them. After all, this is all we have.”
